Ensure prompt disposal of Prajavani grievances, says Karnan

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan directed officials to ensure swift Prajavani grievances disposal and prioritise complaints received under the redressal programme.

He issued the instructions while reviewing petitions at the Prajavani programme held at the GHMC Head Office on Monday. Along with Additional Commissioners and senior officers, he received representations from citizens.

A total of 67 complaints were registered during the session. Of these, 35 were submitted at the Head Office, while 32 came from the six zones under GHMC limits.

Prajavani grievances disposal put under review

During the review, Karnan examined the complaints department-wise. He instructed the concerned officials to resolve them at the earliest.

He emphasised that Prajavani grievances must receive top priority. Moreover, he directed officers to complete action within a reasonable timeframe.

The Commissioner stressed accountability and responsiveness in service delivery. He said each department should carefully scrutinise representations before taking action.

Karnan also reminded officials that timely redressal would strengthen public confidence in civic administration. Therefore, he asked them to monitor progress regularly and avoid delays.

Additional Commissioners Ravi Kiran and Satyanarayana attended the programme. Vigilance ASP Narasimha Reddy, CCP Srinivas and Special Collector (Land Acquisition) Ramadevi were present.

Joint Commissioners Jayanth and Rajinikanth, along with other senior officials, also participated in the review meeting focused on Prajavani grievances disposal.
