Hyderabad: Eight youths have been booked in Hyderabad after a video surfaced showing them packed onto a single motorcycle for a social media reel.
The incident, which occurred under the Rajendranagar police limits, showed all eight riding on a two-wheeler in full view of traffic. The footage went viral, prompting police to track the group using the vehicle’s registration number.
Despite traffic regulations limiting bike riders to two, the group flouted all norms—stacking themselves across the handlebar, fuel tank, seat, and rear. The stunt, aimed at boosting social media engagement, has led to charges for reckless driving and violation of traffic laws.
Police said cases were registered and all eight were detained. Officers noted that despite arrests, counselling, and penalties, such stunts continue unabated across city roads.
