Hyderabad: Diploma holders eyeing direct admission into the second year of BTech or BPharmacy in Telangana will be able to begin their ECET counselling process from June 14. The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) finalised the schedule at a meeting presided over by its chairman and admissions head, Professor R. Limbadri.
Releasing the details on Wednesday, Commissioner of Technical Education and ECET admissions convenor Sridevasena said the first phase of counselling will kick off with slot booking from June 14 to 18. Document verification will be conducted from June 17 to 19, overlapping with web-option entry scheduled from June 17 to 21.
Seat allotments will be announced on June 25, giving qualified students a chance to secure lateral entry into the professional courses. The final phase of counselling is slated to begin on July 11, with spot admissions planned for July 22. Detailed guidelines for these stages will be released soon.
The ECET route provides a key academic bridge for polytechnic students to upgrade into mainstream engineering and pharmacy programmes, with lateral entry directly into the second-year curriculum.
