Dr Preeti Reddy performs CPR mid-flight, saves elderly man’s life

HYDERABAD: In a dramatic mid-air medical emergency, Dr Preeti Reddy, daughter-in-law of former minister Mallareddy, saved the life of a 74-year-old man who collapsed on board an IndiGo flight on Saturday midnight.

The elderly passenger reportedly lost consciousness and began to foam at the mouth, prompting alarm among the crew and passengers. Dr Preeti Reddy, who was travelling on the same flight, immediately responded to the situation.

After confirming that the man had critically low blood pressure, she quickly administered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on board the flight. Her swift and professional response helped stabilise the man until the flight could land.

Upon landing, the airport medical team took over and shifted the passenger to a hospital for further treatment. Thanks to Dr Reddy’s timely intervention, the man survived the crisis.

Her presence of mind and medical expertise have drawn widespread appreciation, with many praising her for rising to the occasion and saving a life mid-flight.
