Hyderabad: The much-awaited results of DEECET 2025, the entrance test for elementary and preschool teacher training courses, were released on Thursday, revealing that nearly 80% of candidates made the cut.
The computer-based test, conducted on May 25 for admissions to D.El.Ed and DPSE courses for the 2025–28 academic session, saw an impressive 78.18% qualification rate. Of the 48,815 applications received, 33,321 candidates appeared for the exam, and 28,442 qualified, officials announced.
In the Telugu medium category, Takkallapalli Haritha topped with a score of 77, while Pasunoori Abhinav Reddy clinched the English medium top rank with 87 marks. Faraz Ahmad emerged as the highest scorer in Urdu medium with 67 marks.
A detailed breakdown revealed that, in the Telugu medium, 19,900 students applied, with 15,478 taking the test and 11,288 (72.79%) qualifying. In the English medium, 22,051 applied, 18,983 appeared, and 14,848 (78.24%) cleared the exam. For Urdu medium, 1,884 applied, 1,982 appeared, and 530 qualified—highlighting strong overall participation.
Counselling for admissions into D.El.Ed and DPSE courses is set to begin on June 9 with certificate verification, scheduled to continue until June 13 at 10 government DIET colleges across Telangana. Web options can be exercised from June 14 to 17. Officials confirmed that over 4,000 seats are available across more than 50 DIET colleges in the state.
