Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Friday said the Telangana government was committed to Narayankhed’s development. He laid foundation stones for projects worth over ₹12 crore in the constituency.
The Minister launched expansion works at Jukkal Convention Hall (₹1.15 crore) and eco-tourism works at the Urban Forest Park (₹3.9 crore). He also started works for Narayankhed Ring Road, a new PHC at Sirgapur (₹1.56 crore), a new hospital at Boranch, and the Manuru–Elgoi BT road (₹6 crore).

Rajanarasimha said the government was raising the healthcare sector to corporate standards. He noted that 9,000 medical posts had already been filled and recruitment for 8,000 more was on the way.
He announced plans for cancer centres in every district. Mobile cancer screening vehicles will reach villages. The government will also establish trauma care centres and station ambulances every 30 kilometres along highways.

Local leaders push for more funds
MP Suresh Kumar Shetkar said Narayankhed needed additional financial support. He blamed past governments for neglect and lack of progress over the last decade.
MLA Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy urged sanction of ₹5 crore to finish tourism projects at Nallavagu, Kamalapur, and Boranch. He also requested ₹30 lakh for Sirgapur PHC to build a compound wall and convert it into a 30-bed hospital.
Additional District Collector Chandrasekhar, Sub-Collector Uma Harathi, Congress leaders Patlolla Chandrasekhar Reddy and Sudhakar Reddy, along with local representatives and officials, joined the programme.
