Hyderabad: Cyberabad Traffic Police issued a public advisory warning parents against allowing children to stand through car sunroofs or travel unsafely on moving vehicles.
Officials said such behaviour poses serious risks to children and can lead to fatal road accidents.
According to the advisory, children standing through sunroofs may fall from moving vehicles or suffer severe injuries during sudden braking or collisions.
Authorities also warned against allowing children to sit unsafely on two-wheelers without proper protection.

Traffic officials said allowing children to stand through sunroofs or ride unsafely on vehicles amounts to dangerous driving.
Under the Motor Vehicles Act Section 184, such behaviour falls under dangerous driving violations.
Violators may face a penalty of ₹1,000, officials said.
The police urged parents to follow basic safety practices while travelling with children.
They advised parents to ensure that children remain seated inside cars and wear seatbelts at all times.
Officials also stressed that children travelling on two-wheelers must wear helmets.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police said responsible driving and safety precautions can prevent accidents and protect children on the road.
