Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police officials conducted an on-site review at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Friday amid ongoing disruptions to IndiGo flight operations.
DCP Shamshabad B. Rajesh, Additional DCP K. Purnachander Rao, ACP V. Srikanth Goud, and RGIA Outpost Inspector Sampathi Kanakaiah visited the airport to assess the situation. The inspection comes in response to widespread flight delays and cancellations affecting passengers.
IndiGo flight disruptions prompt police visit to RGIA
During their visit, the officers met with IndiGo’s Regional Manager, who briefed them on the operational challenges and stated that restoration efforts were underway. He assured that the airline was prioritising the resumption of normal services.
The officials inspected check-in counters, boarding zones, and passenger movement areas. They directed the Station House Officer to ensure smooth operations and assist passengers, particularly during peak hours, until full normalcy is restored.
