Cyberabad police issue notification for Deepavali firecracker license applications

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has issued a notification requiring individuals who wish to possess and sell firecrackers during the Deepavali festival to obtain a temporary license under the Explosives Act, 1884 and Explosives Rules, 1983 (amended in 2008).

According to the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, licenses will be granted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police of the respective zones. The department has warned that any violation of the rules will lead to penal action as per the law.

Online applications open until October 16

Applicants must submit their license requests online through either https://cybpms.telangana.gov.in or https://www.cyberabadpolice.gov.in. Offline applications will not be accepted.

The last date for submission is October 16. Applications received after the deadline will be rejected.
