Cyberabad officials review monsoon, traffic measures

Hyderabad: Senior officials reviewed monsoon preparedness, traffic management and infrastructure upgrades at a high-level meeting in Cyberabad.

The meeting took place at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate office. Officials from GHMC, HMDA, HYDRAA, HMWSSB and other departments attended.

Authorities identified 54 water-logging points and initiated steps for rectification. They also decided to introduce a dedicated customer care number to address rain-related complaints.

Cyberabad officials focus on infrastructure and coordination

Officials decided to fast-track ongoing flyover works and upgrade traffic signals and signboards. In addition, they planned new skywalks and foot overbridges to improve pedestrian safety.

They asked HMRL to raise medians to prevent unsafe road crossings. Meanwhile, TGIIC and R&B officials will take up road widening and remove obstructing electrical poles.

Authorities also planned a two-acre smart parking facility near Raidurgam Metro through CSR support.

To ensure summer water supply, officials allowed 3,000 water tankers to operate during no-entry hours. At the same time, HYDRAA is preparing a comprehensive monsoon action plan.

All departments will depute representatives to the Integrated Command and Control Centre for real-time coordination. The move aims to improve response and ensure smoother civic management across Cyberabad.
