Cyber crime awareness programme held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The South West Zone Police of Hyderabad City conducted a cyber crime awareness programme on Saturday to educate citizens about online threats and preventive measures.

Organised under the “Jagrut Hyderabad – Surakshit Hyderabad” initiative, the event was held at 3:00 PM near the Rythu Bazaar Bus Stop in Mehdipatnam. The drive aimed to increase public vigilance and promote responsible online behaviour in the South West Zone.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes) M. Srinivasulu, IPS, led the event alongside DCP Crimes V. Aravind Babu and South West Zone DCP Chandra Mohan. Several ACPs and senior police officials from the zone were also present.

Cyber crime awareness programme attracts students, public in SW Zone

The city police urged citizens to stay alert against evolving cyber threats and called for community participation in building a secure digital environment.

The programme drew strong participation from college students across the South West Zone. Police officials engaged with attendees, highlighting real-life cybercrime cases and offering guidance on safety practices.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by Hyderabad Police to foster public engagement in crime prevention and create a well-informed community resistant to cyber fraud.
