CS chairs high-level review ahead of collectors’ conference

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao led a collectors’ conference review on Monday to finalise the agenda for Tuesday’s high-level meeting that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Ministers will address.

He convened senior officials at the Secretariat to streamline preparations. During the collectors’ conference review, he set a structured schedule to drive focused discussions and firm decisions.

The Chief Secretary outlined the core subjects slated for deliberation. He also directed every department to complete detailed groundwork before the conference.

Collectors’ conference review prioritises census exercise

In the forenoon session, district collectors will focus on the upcoming census enumeration exercise. The Chief Secretary stressed the need for strong district-level preparation.

He called for accurate, transparent and time-bound enumeration across all districts. Accordingly, departments must coordinate closely with local administrations.

Later in the day, collectors will examine the State government’s 99 Days Action Plan. The session will spotlight priority development works, faster land acquisition and timely forest clearances.

The Chief Secretary asked departments to present clear targets and timelines. They must also specify monitoring mechanisms. This approach, he said, will align district administrations with the State’s development roadmap.

Collectors’ conference review advances Praja Paalana rollout

The collectors’ conference review also assessed preparations for Praja Paalana – Pragati Pranalika. The government will implement the programme from March 6 to June 12.

The initiative seeks to expand governance outreach and speed up development works. At the same time, it aims to improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

District collectors will coordinate activities under the programme. They will track progress and deliver measurable outcomes within the set timeframe.

Furthermore, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to craft a precise conference schedule. A structured format, he noted, will ensure actionable results.

DGP Shivdhar Reddy, Special Chief Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan, Sanjay Kumar and Vikas Raj attended the meeting. Principal Secretaries Sandeep Kumar Sultania and Ahmed Nadeem also joined. Secretaries Lokesh Kumar and Christina Z Chongthu, along with CIPR Priyanka and other senior officials, took part.
