CP Sajjanar warns on food adulteration, welcomes CM move

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar warned that food adulteration posed a serious threat to public health and described it as a silent but dangerous crime affecting households.

He said adulteration extended to everyday food items, including biscuits, ice creams, milk, curd, tea powder and ginger-garlic paste. Moreover, he said such practices endangered consumers who trusted these products.

Sajjanar welcomed the decision of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to establish a dedicated food safety system. In addition, he said the move aligned with efforts to curb adulteration across the State.
