Congress to reward grassroots loyalty with key roles, says TPCC chief

Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress has promised to recognise and elevate loyal party workers, with TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud assuring grassroots cadres that sincerity will not go unnoticed as the party gears up for the local body elections.

Addressing a state-wide Zoom session with District Congress Committee presidents and organisational observers on Friday, Goud described the recent “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” campaign as a standout success. “Telangana didn’t just participate it led the way nationally,” he said, noting that the campaign had drawn praise from top Congress leadership.

He credited the momentum to the tireless efforts of party organisers and observers, whom he commended for pushing ahead with internal restructuring across the state. “We’ve made impressive progress on the organisational front, and now we need to complete the formation of mandal and district committees without delay,” he urged, stressing the need for a strong party framework down to the village level.

Goud made it clear that those who have stood by the party with dedication will be rewarded with meaningful posts. “We’re committed to giving sincere workers their due. Loyalty will be recognised not just with words, but with responsibilities,” he said.

Echoing the sentiment, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan reiterated the party’s commitment to social justice. She said the Congress, under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, has remained steadfast in ensuring that every community has an equitable share both within the party and in government structures.

“All appointments made so far have adhered strictly to these principles,” Natarajan added, assuring that future selections will also honour hard work and fairness. “Everyone who serves with sincerity will find their efforts reflected in their role.”

The session was positioned as a review of the party’s recent initiatives, but it also doubled as a signal to Congress rank and file: commitment at the grassroots will be rewarded as the party strengthens its foundation across Telangana.
