Congress postpones Kamareddy BC Maha Garjana due to rains

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) postponed the BC Maha Garjana public meeting in Kamareddy because of heavy rains. The party had planned the event for September 15.

The party planned the meeting to highlight its stand on 42 percent reservations for Backward Classes. Leaders also aimed to secure BC support ahead of the local body elections.

Congress leaders deferred the rally to prevent hardship for cadres and participants. They said the party will announce a new date soon.

The party promoted the event as a celebration of the BC Declaration. Leaders also planned to use the Kamareddy stage to expand outreach and strengthen support among BC voters.
