Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said the country faced several serious issues that required immediate debate in Parliament. He argued that the BJP avoided these discussions and instead focused on misleading citizens about the Congress party. The MP pointed to the difficulties passengers faced due to Indigo Airlines’ operations and said the matter needed urgent attention.
He added that pollution levels in Delhi continued to threaten public health. Unemployment, he noted, had also emerged as a major concern. Because of these issues, he urged the House to prioritise national problems over political rhetoric.
Congress MP accuses the BJP of diversion and misinformation tactics
While speaking to the media in Delhi on Monday, Kiran Kumar Reddy said Congress leaders regularly sing Vande Mataram at AICC, PCC and DCC meetings. According to him, RSS and BJP gatherings do not follow that practice. He stated that the BJP suddenly pushed a debate on Vande Mataram in Parliament to create negative propaganda against Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
Moreover, he accused the ruling party of attempting to distort historical facts. He said Congress members would join the debate to explain the truth to the public. The MP criticised what he called the BJP’s “WhatsApp University,” which he said spread misinformation about Congress leaders. He stated that such attempts confused citizens and diverted attention from real issues that affected daily life.
