Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s disciplinary panel meeting scheduled for Today has been deferred to July 10 after several MLAs from Warangal district cited scheduling conflicts.
Panel chairman Mallu Ravi postponed the meeting following a written request from the legislators, who were summoned in connection with complaints filed against former MLC Konda Murali.
All Congress MLAs from Warangal had been directed to appear before the committee, amid ongoing factional disputes in the district unit. Party sources expected the session to help resolve the internal rift.
However, the MLAs informed Ravi that they were required to attend a Warangal Municipal Corporation meeting scheduled for the same day. Taking the request into consideration, the chairman agreed to reschedule the session.
