CM Revanth Reddy, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud discuss BC reservations and local polls

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday met Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud at his residence in Jubilee Hills. The meeting came on the occasion of Goud completing one year as TPCC chief.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said he called on the Chief Minister to mark the completion of his first year in office. Revanth Reddy felicitated him with a shawl and congratulated him.

Leaders discuss elections and BC reservations

Sources said both leaders held discussions on upcoming local body elections, BC reservations, and the prevailing political scenario in the state. With reservations likely to delay polls, the Congress leadership is focusing on strengthening the party at the grassroots.

Goud recently announced that PCC committees will be formed within the next 10 days. He said efforts are being made to consolidate the organisation from the village level.

Congress plans public rally in Kamareddy

The PCC is also planning a major public meeting in Kamareddy soon to highlight the issue of BC reservations. Party leaders indicated that these matters were also part of the discussions with the Chief Minister.
