CM Revanth Reddy hails Singareni’s expansion into Odisha as a historic milestone

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has described Singareni’s expansion into Odisha as a historic milestone that paves a golden path for future generations and marks the beginning of a new era for the coal mining company.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka virtually inaugurated the Singareni Nainee coal block in Odisha, marking the company’s first mining operation outside Telangana. Responding to the development, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued a statement applauding this major achievement.

He highlighted that Telangana’s Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), which has been illuminating the state through its mining operations for nearly 136 years, has now embarked on a new journey by launching coal mining in Odisha’s Nainee block. He noted that this was made possible due to the proactive efforts of the people’s government, and he called it a testament to his administration’s integrity and commitment.

The Chief Minister stated that the commencement of mining at the Nainee block in Angul district marks the dawn of a new chapter for Singareni. He hailed the achievement of securing all necessary clearances and beginning operations at the coal block as a moment of pride for the people of Telangana.

Revanth Reddy affirmed that the government will continue to provide full support to Singareni in its development and expansion efforts. He emphasised the company’s importance not only as a crown jewel of Telangana but also as a livelihood source for thousands of worker families. He extended his congratulations to the Singareni organisation on this occasion.
