Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Governor Jishnu Dev Varma ahead of his assumption of charge as the Governor of Maharashtra.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, called on the Governor at Lok Bhavan.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy recalled the close association that developed between the Governor and the people of Telangana during his nearly two-year tenure.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the guidance and services rendered to the state during this period.
Jishnu Dev Varma tenure and initiatives discussed
Revanth Reddy referred to the Telangana – North East India Connect initiative launched during the Governor’s tenure.
The programme aimed to strengthen engagement between Telangana and the Northeastern states.
Officials promoted cooperation in areas such as arts, culture, technology, sports and innovation through the initiative.
The initiative also helped build mutual understanding and long-term engagement between Telangana and states in the Northeast.
