Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the death of veteran photojournalist Shaik Naseeruddin, describing it as an irreparable loss to the media fraternity.
In a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, Revanth Reddy said Naseeruddin had earned a distinctive identity over nearly four decades in photojournalism, working with multiple media outlets including the Munsif Urdu daily. The chief minister noted that Naseeruddin’s passing marked a void in Telangana journalism.
He extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Journalist unions and political leaders across Telangana have continued to mourn the loss since news of Naseeruddin’s death emerged today.
The funeral prayers will be held at Qutub Shahi Masjid, Bazar Guard after Asar prayers today evening and burial will take place at a nearby graveyard.
