Medaram Jatara Revanth Reddy-led revamp worth ₹251 crore
The State government has undertaken ₹251 crore worth of development works in Medaram to support the Jatara. It is one of Asia’s largest tribal gatherings. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to inaugurate the renovated pedestals of Sammakka and Saralamma and the upgraded temple premises.
The new temple complex has been built entirely with stone structures. It is designed for durability over the next millennium. The gateways and perimeter walls symbolise the history and sacrifices of Sammakka and Saralamma. They aim to blend tribal heritage with contemporary infrastructure.
Officials said the transformation of Medaram reflects a fusion of spirituality, tradition, and modern amenities.
