Hyderabad: The Telangana government has rolled out a new announcement for minority students who want to study abroad under the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme. It’s a fantastic opportunity for those looking to pursue higher education in top universities around the world.

The Directorate of Minority Welfare says you can submit everything through the website www.telangana.cgg.gov.in. If you’ve secured admission in a recognized foreign university between January 1 and June 30, 2025, you’re eligible. This scholarship is for postgraduate and PhD courses only.
You can get up to ₹20 lakh to help with expenses, plus a one-way airfare allowance of ₹60,000. It applies to students heading to well-known universities in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France, and New Zealand.
Officials are strict about one thing: don’t submit fake documents. They’ve made it clear that anyone caught with forged papers will face criminal charges, so make sure everything you send in is legit.
