Civil polls end peacefully, EC orders compensation for deceased staff

Hyderabad: The State Election Commission announced that the Telangana panchayat elections ended peacefully, with no major incidents reported.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Commission confirmed that polling concluded without disruptions due to effective security arrangements. It lifted the election code across the state at 5 PM.

The Commission instructed district collectors to begin compensation disbursement immediately for families of staff who died during election duty. It warned against any delay or negligence and asked officials to ensure timely relief through special measures.
