Chief Secretary attends Gram Sabha at Tummaluru, reviews Praja Palana plan

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao attended a Gram Sabha at Tummaluru village in Rangareddy district under the Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika programme.

He joined the meeting in Maheshwaram mandal and interacted directly with villagers on local issues. District Collector Narayana Reddy and senior officials also joined the programme.

The State government is conducting Gram Sabhas across Telangana under the 99-day action plan to strengthen grassroots governance.

Chief Secretary reviews Praja Palana implementation

Ramakrishna Rao said the initiative aims to identify and resolve issues at the village level. Therefore, he called on people to participate actively.

He said the government is implementing welfare and development programmes in a structured manner. In addition, it is distributing fine rice through newly issued ration cards.

He noted that the government increased diet and cosmetic charges in hostels and schools to improve nutrition and facilities for students.

The Chief Secretary said the government aims to provide housing to all eligible beneficiaries. Meanwhile, it is promoting women’s empowerment through interest-free loans, stitching work and RTC driver training.

He reiterated that officials must resolve local issues through Gram Sabhas. Authorities also distributed Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries during the programme.
