Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in the morning rituals at the Bonalu festival at Secunderabad’s Ujjaini Mahakali Temple. He arrived at approximately 11 AM and presented the deity with silk garments, followed by a special puja. Earlier in the day, from 4 AM, a series of rituals had commenced.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar led the initial government offering by presenting the first Bonam. Later, regular devotees were permitted darshan.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Minister Konda Surekha, then performed the formal Bonam ritual and presented silk cloth offerings to the goddess. All rituals were conducted with due protocol.

The Telangana government had deployed special arrangements anticipating participation from hundreds of thousands of devotees, not only from the state but from across India. Fourteen separate queues were set up to manage the crowds. Two queues were reserved for women bearing Bonam offerings, one for VIP pass holders, and the rest for general devotees.
Other dignitaries present during the special puja included Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and A. Indrakaran Reddy, Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Harkara Venugopal Rao, Rajya Sabha MP A. K. Yadagiri, MLA Danam Nagender, MLA Sriganesh, and senior Devasthanam officials. Representatives from the Deccan Human Services Committee also attended.
