Hyderabad: Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant laid the foundation stone for the Telangana High Court Zone-II complex at Rajendranagar in Rangareddy district. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy attended the event.
Supreme Court judges Justice P S Narasimha, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice S V Bhatti, and Justice Alok Aradhe attended the ceremony. The event marked the start of judicial infrastructure works.
Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh attended along with Justice P Sam Koshy and other judges. Former Chief Justice of India Justice N V Ramana and former Supreme Court judge Justice Subhash Reddy were also present.
Chief Justice leads foundation ceremony for Judicial City project
Further, officials conducted a bhoomi puja for the Zone-II complex. This project forms part of the proposed 100-acre Judicial City.
They also showcased models of the planned buildings during the event. Officials explained key features of the upcoming complex.
Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP B Shivadhar Reddy attended the programme. Several senior officials and legal experts also took part.
Authorities said the project would strengthen judicial infrastructure in the state.
