Hyderabad: Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed deep sorrow over the Chevella bus accident that left 19 dead and dozens injured on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway in Ranga Reddy district.
Bandi Sanjay, in a post on X, described the incident as a tragic collision between an RTC bus and a tipper lorry near Mirzaguda. He said the accident caused immense grief, particularly with the loss of so many lives, including men, women, and an infant. “I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he stated. He also urged the Telangana government to provide immediate and adequate financial aid to the victims. “The central government will also extend support in this difficult time,” he added.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy also took to X to convey his condolences, stating he was deeply disturbed by the fatalities in the Chevella bus accident. He appealed to the state government to provide necessary medical assistance to the injured and prayed for their swift recovery.
19 dead, including an infant, as Chevella bus accident toll rises
The crash claimed 19 lives, including both drivers of the bus and lorry, 10 male passengers, nine women, and an 11-month-old infant. At the time of the accident, around 50 people were on board the bus. The collision turned the area into a scene of chaos and tragedy, as the cries of passengers filled the air.
Twenty-four injured victims are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. Three of them remain in critical condition, and officials have not ruled out a possible rise in the death toll.
