Hyderabad: The petrol bunk operated under the Telangana prisons department at Chanchalguda jail has recorded the highest sales among outlets in the Hyderabad and Secunderabad divisions.
In the 2024–25 financial year, the fuel station sold 69 lakh litres of petrol, generating revenue worth ₹75 crore. It has once again received the ‘Best Petrol Bunk’ award for its performance.
Divisional Sales General Manager Subrato Roy presented the award to Jail Superintendent Shivakumar Goud.
Speaking at the event, Shivakumar Goud said the profits from fuel sales are used for inmate welfare and for the development of prison infrastructure.
