CEO Sudarshan Reddy accelerates preparations for Special Intensive Revision

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy accelerated preparations for the Special Intensive Revision scheduled to begin in April, following directions from the Election Commission of India.

Accordingly, the CEO office in Hyderabad conducted an online training session for Assistant Electoral Registration Officers of Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts.

In total, 195 AEROs participated in the programme. During the session, officials explained procedures for preparation, updation and maintenance of electoral rolls.

Further, they outlined steps for inclusion of eligible voters and deletion of ineligible names. They also clarified norms related to correction of entries and verification of voter details.

Special Intensive Revision training for AEROs intensified

Meanwhile, Sudarshan Reddy directed officials to complete all preparatory work for the Special Intensive Revision within the stipulated timeline. He emphasised that AEROs play a crucial role in safeguarding the purity of electoral rolls.

Moreover, he stressed the need for accuracy and accountability at every stage of the revision process. Proper verification, he said, would ensure credible voter lists.

Therefore, officials noted that such training programmes would strengthen the conduct of the Special Intensive Revision in a transparent and impartial manner. In turn, systematic preparation would reinforce confidence in the electoral process across the State.
