Telangana CEO conducts training ahead of Special Intensive Revision

Hyderabad: Electoral roll revision ahead of the Special Intensive Revision gathered pace as Chief Electoral Officer Telangana C Sudarshan Reddy conducted a comprehensive training for 50 Electoral Registration Officers.

Officers from Medchal Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts attended the session. Accordingly, the programme focused on preparation, updation and maintenance of voter lists.

The training covered statutory provisions, prescribed timelines and procedures relating to claims and objections. Moreover, officials reviewed the use of technology to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the revision process.

Electoral roll revision to stress accuracy and transparency

The CEO emphasised inclusiveness and transparency in maintaining electoral rolls. Therefore, he directed officers to enrol all eligible citizens while removing ineligible entries strictly as per law.

He instructed officials to adhere to timelines and follow due process during the exercise. Meanwhile, he underlined the need for strong field-level verification mechanisms.

The initiative aims to strengthen the foundation of free, fair and transparent elections across the state.
