Hyderabad: IAS officer Amrapali received relief from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Tuesday, which directed her repatriation from the Andhra Pradesh cadre back to Telangana.
The ruling clears the way for her to resume duties under the Telangana government shortly.
Amrapali had been shifted to the Andhra Pradesh cadre nearly four months ago following orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Challenging the move, she approached CAT seeking reassignment to Telangana.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the tribunal ruled in her favour, accepting her plea to remain in the Telangana cadre.
