Car catches fire near Nandikandi petrol bunk, passengers safe

Hyderabad: A moving car caught fire near Nandikandi on the Sangareddy–Zaheerabad road, destroying the vehicle. Three passengers escaped safely.

The incident occurred near an HP petrol bunk when flames suddenly erupted from the car while it was travelling towards Zaheerabad. The passengers quickly got down and ran away from the spot.

Eyewitnesses said the occupants rushed to the nearby petrol bunk and asked staff for a fire extinguisher to control the flames. However, the petrol bunk staff allegedly refused to provide the cylinder.

The flames spread rapidly and completely gutted the vehicle before help arrived. No injuries occurred in the incident.

Meanwhile, the passengers criticised the petrol bunk staff for refusing help during the emergency. They demanded action against the staff for negligence.

Officials will now examine the incident. They will also verify whether the petrol bunk maintains the required safety equipment and emergency response measures.
