Hyderabad: The Cabinet Sub-Committee reviewed preparations for Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 during its first meeting held at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu chaired the meeting and discussed initial arrangements for the large religious event.
Ministers Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Adluri Laxman Kumar attended the meeting.
Government Advisor Sudarshan Reddy, Harkara Venugopal and senior officials also participated in the discussions.
Officials reviewed early planning measures required to manage the large influx of devotees expected during the festival.
Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 planning includes temple circuit proposal
During the meeting, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy proposed developing a spiritual temple circuit along the Godavari basin.
The proposed circuit would connect major temples from Basara to Bhadrachalam.
He also suggested preparing a comprehensive master plan to strengthen road connectivity to important temples ahead of Godavari Pushkaralu 2027.
The proposal includes improving access roads to temples such as the Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
Officials said improved connectivity would help devotees travel smoothly during the festival.
The committee also discussed the need for coordinated planning among departments to handle the expected rush of pilgrims.
Further review meetings will be held to finalise infrastructure and logistical arrangements for Godavari Pushkaralu 2027.
