HYDERABAD, February 1: A major road accident occurred in Jogulamba Gadwal district when private travel buses collided with a lorry near Pullur Toll Plaza in Undavalli Mandal. Several passengers sustained injuries in the incident.
According to reports, the accident happened while the lorry was taking a U-turn. A private travel bus heading from Hyderabad to Kadapa crashed into it. Another bus traveling towards Tirupati was also involved in the collision. The driver of the Tirupati-bound bus suffered severe leg fractures.
Approximately 40 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital in Kurnool for treatment.
Police reached the scene upon receiving information and registered a case. An investigation into the incident is underway. Further details are awaited.
