Hyderabad: A horrifying crime has rattled Budwel’s Abriz Residency in Rajendranagar, where an elderly couple was found dead in their fifth-floor flat under chilling circumstances.
The victims 70-year-old Shaik Abdullah and his 65-year-old wife Rizwana were discovered in a pool of blood on Thursday evening, sparking panic among residents and a swift police response. Neighbours said the couple had led a quiet life in the gated community, never suspecting they might fall victim to such a gruesome attack.
Police sources revealed that two unidentified individuals had entered the couple’s home around 5 p.m., reportedly posing as massage therapists. Moments later, the attackers vanished, leaving the couple’s lifeless bodies behind. Investigators suspect the murder was pre-planned, possibly with robbery as a motive, though they are exploring all angles.
“It looks like a targeted killing,” one officer at the scene remarked grimly. “We’re reviewing CCTV footage, questioning neighbours, and gathering every piece of evidence to identify those responsible.”
The couple’s sudden and violent deaths have sent shockwaves through the community, with neighbours expressing fear and disbelief. “They were such a kind couple always smiling, always helping out,” one resident said.
Police have appealed to the public for any information that could help track down the suspects. Forensic teams remain at the scene, working to piece together the chain of events that led to the tragedy.
