BRAOU national seminar brochure released by Vice-Chancellor

Hyderabad: Prof. Ganta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, released the brochure for a BRAOU national seminar scheduled to be held on April 9 and 10 at the university campus.

The two-day BRAOU national seminar will be organised by the Department of Economics in collaboration with Government Degree College, Chanchalguda. It will focus on the theme “Economic Reforms and the Indian Constitution: Conflict, Contradictions, and Ways Forward.”

Prof. Chakrapani said economic reforms must align with constitutional principles. He stressed that such alignment would ensure inclusive and equitable development.

BRAOU national seminar to examine reforms and constitutional issues

Seminar Director Prof. P. Venkateswarlu said the BRAOU national seminar would enable detailed discussions on economic reforms and constitutional constraints. He added that participants would examine challenges and future prospects linked to these issues.

He said the seminar aims to create a platform for academic exchange. According to him, it would bring together experts to analyse the relationship between policy changes and constitutional provisions.

The BRAOU seminar will focus on both theoretical and practical dimensions. It will also explore ways to address contradictions between reforms and constitutional mandates.

Several academic officials attended the brochure release of the BRAOU national seminar. These included Prof. Pushpa Chakrapani, Academic Director, and Prof. Pallavi Kabade, Dean of Social Sciences.

Prof. K. Krishna Reddy, Officer on Special Duty to the Vice-Chancellor, was also present. In addition, Prof. Rabindranath Solomon, Head of the Department of Economics, attended the event.

Prof. G. Nagoji, Vice-Principal of Government Degree College, Chanchalguda, and Dr. J. Mallaiah, Assistant Professor, were among those present.

The event underlined the university’s focus on academic dialogue. It also highlighted the importance of the BRAOU national seminar in addressing key issues related to economic reforms and constitutional governance.
