Traders protest at Bowenpally market alleging misconduct by committee chairman

HYDERABAD: Traders at Bowenpally Market in Secunderabad staged a protest on Friday, accusing the Market Committee Chairman of behaving in a high-handed manner.

Dozens of traders gathered in front of the Chairman’s office, expressing strong resentment over what they described as inappropriate and disrespectful conduct. They alleged that the Chairman had spoken to them in a rude and offensive manner during a recent interaction.

Raising slogans and holding placards, the protestors demanded an immediate apology from the Chairman, stating that such behaviour towards the trader community was unacceptable.

The traders urged higher authorities to intervene and ensure that market officials treat stakeholders with dignity. They also warned that they would intensify their protest if no action was taken.
