Hyderabad: Riding on the momentum of Operation Sindoor, the BJP is gearing up for a high-visibility national campaign. From May 13 to 23, party leaders will hit the ground across the country with the ‘Tiranga Yatra’—a mass outreach drive aimed at stirring patriotic sentiment and spotlighting India’s security operations.
The decision was taken during a closed-door meeting chaired by BJP national president J.P. Nadda, according to party insiders. The yatra will highlight key themes like the military’s valour, sovereignty, and the recent counterstrikes on terror camps across the border following the Pahalgam attack.
Senior BJP functionaries – Sambit Patra, Vinod Tawde, and Tarun Chugh—have been tasked with coordinating the nationwide rollout. Sources said the yatra would involve press meets, awareness events, and ground-level mobilisation in every state.
In BJP-ruled states, Chief Ministers and senior state leaders will actively participate in the campaign.
Party insiders insist this won’t be a political campaign in the traditional sense. Rather, it’s being projected as a unifying national call—built around military bravery, national pride, and shared civic values. BJP also plans to include veterans, civil society members, and prominent personalities in the initiative.
