BJP Chief Warns Secretariat Siege Over Fee Arrears

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday lashed out at the Congress government for failing to clear fee reimbursement arrears and warned of large-scale protests if the issue remains unresolved.

BJP threatens Secretariat protest over fee dues

Speaking at election rallies in Jubilee Hills, Rao said the BJP would lay siege to the State Secretariat with support from students and college managements if the arrears were not cleared immediately. He alleged the Congress government had promised to release ₹500 crore per month towards dues but failed to honor the commitment.

Rao accused the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government of mismanaging funds and playing with students’ futures. “Despite issuing payment tokens, the government hasn’t paid. Are we running a blackmail regime?” he asked, pointing to alleged threats of vigilance raids on institutions demanding their dues.

Growing momentum for BJP in Jubilee Hills

Earlier, Rao participated in a padyatra in Venkalrao Nagar division, campaigning for BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy. The march began at Yadgirinagar Kaman and saw enthusiastic participation from residents and party workers.

During his door-to-door visits, Rao said Deepak Reddy would serve in line with public aspirations. He claimed the growing support for BJP in Jubilee Hills signals a widening public dissatisfaction with the Congress regime.
