Hyderabad: Banks will remain closed for three consecutive days from March 27 across Telangana and other parts of the country due to festival and weekend closures. The bank holidays will impact regular banking services during this period.
The Reserve Bank of India declared a holiday on March 27 on account of Sri Rama Navami. Consequently, banks will remain shut in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and several other states.
Bank holidays from March 27 to 29 affect services
Banks will remain closed on March 28 as it falls on the fourth Saturday. Meanwhile, March 29 being Sunday will extend the closure period to three days.
As a result, customers cannot access services such as cheque clearance, cash deposits, document submissions, and loan processing during this period.
However, digital banking services will continue without interruption. Therefore, customers can use ATMs, net banking, mobile banking, and UPI for transactions.
Officials advised customers to plan their banking activities in advance. In addition, they said services will resume on Monday, March 30, after the holidays end.
