Hyderabad: An extramarital affair has led to a serious blackmail case in Banjara Hills, exposing how trust inside homes can turn into threats. A businessman has lodged a police complaint alleging that his longtime driver, Iftikhar, had an illicit relationship with his wife and later used private photos and videos to extort him.
The businessman told police that Iftikhar, who had worked with the family for years, developed an affair with his wife and secretly captured compromising images and clips. The driver allegedly began blackmailing him via WhatsApp, demanding ₹1 crore.
According to the complaint, Iftikhar threatened to upload the content to pornographic websites if the businessman refused to pay or grant his wife a divorce. The messages reportedly contained direct threats linking financial demand to the release of the material.
Caught between betrayal at home and extortion from his employee, the businessman approached Banjara Hills police on Friday, May 16, seeking protection and legal action.
A case has been registered. Police have begun investigation and are verifying the digital evidence. Further details are awaited.
