Attempted burglary at Central Bank of India branch in Medak foiled

Hyderabad: An attempted burglary at the Central Bank of India branch in Veludurthi mandal headquarters of Medak district was foiled late Sunday night after the bank’s alarm system went off, police said.

According to officials, unidentified suspects broke through a wall of the branch and entered the premises. They unlocked a storeroom but triggered an automatic alarm when they reached the locker area.

Hearing the alarm, the intruders fled before police arrived. Local residents alerted authorities immediately, but the suspects had already escaped by the time teams reached the spot.

Police registered a case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from the branch is being examined to identify and track down those involved.
