Three persons arrested in attempt to murder case in Mailardevpally

Hyderabad: Mailardevpally Police arrested three persons in an attempt to murder case after they attacked a man with sharp weapons in the early hours of April 2.

Police identified the accused as Syed Shaibaz (19), Sahanavaz Khan alias Syed Sahanavaz Khan (20), and Rizwan Bin Suleman Baharmuz (18). Officers registered Crime No. 302/2026 under Sections 109(1) read with 3(5) of the BNS.

According to the police, the accused attacked Mohd. Fahad alias Fahad Baba near Adiba Hotel in Sasthripuram at around 00:30 hrs. They stabbed him with a knife and struck him with an axe, causing injuries to his head, ear, and shoulder.

After the assault, locals shifted the injured victim to Osmania General Hospital, where doctors are treating him. Meanwhile, police teams tracked and apprehended the accused.

Attempt to murder case linked to prior enmity, police say

During the investigation, police found that prior enmity triggered the attack. Earlier, the victim had allegedly assaulted the main accused in a separate case, which led to a continuing dispute.

Subsequently, the main accused, along with the other two, planned and assaulted while holding a grudge. Police said the attack was deliberate and targeted.

During the operation, officers seized one axe, one knife, and one sickle from the accused. These weapons played a role in the offence.

Later, police produced the accused before the court and initiated legal proceedings. At the same time, officials continued the investigation under the supervision of the DCP Rajendra Nagar Zone.

Investigators are examining further evidence and recording statements as the probe continues.
