Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught an assistant engineer red-handed while accepting a ₹30,000 bribe for installing a transformer at an apartment complex in Gandhamguda under the Rajendranagar circle.
The accused, Amar Singh, was serving at the Himayatsagar section in the Gandhamguda sub-station of Ranga Reddy district. According to ACB officials, he demanded the bribe from a complainant to facilitate the transformer installation at the ARC.K. Projects apartment.
Acting on the complaint, ACB laid a trap and apprehended the engineer while he was accepting the money. Officials confirmed that the cash was recovered from his possession.
The ACB reiterated that any citizen who is asked for a bribe by a government servant should immediately contact their toll-free helpline at 1064. Complaints can also be made via WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook (Telangana ACB), X (@TelanganaACB), or the official ACB website

The agency assured that the identity of complainants will be kept strictly confidential.
