Hyderabad: Economist Arvind Subramanian met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and discussed measures to strengthen Telangana’s financial position.
The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s chamber in the Assembly. The economist interacted with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka during the discussion.
Officials briefed him on reforms in the power sector, Stamps and Registrations, and GST. They explained expenditure trends in the energy sector and valuation mechanisms in the registration department.
Arvind Subramanian discusses fiscal strategy with CM
During the interaction, he reviewed tax estimations under GST. He also examined ongoing financial management practices in the State.
The economist suggested steps to improve finances. He advised the government to adopt a planned and strategic approach to strengthen the economy.
