Agricultural college for every erstwhile district in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Telangana government will establish an agricultural college in every erstwhile district, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao announced on Thursday.

The initiative aims to decentralise agricultural education and improve regional access to modern farm training and research. As part of this effort, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate a newly built agricultural college in Nizamabad district later this month.

The upcoming institution is spread across 120 acres inside the Telangana University campus. It covers survey numbers 265/1, 277, and 334, near the villages of Suddapalli and Dadapalli. According to officials, the college will serve as a central hub for agricultural education, farmer services, applied research, and skill development.

Minister Tummala said the government has prioritised equipping the new institutions with advanced infrastructure and technology. “Students will gain access to modern agricultural education, while local farmers will directly benefit from training and support,” he stated.
