KHAMMAM: A man who was involved in an extramarital affair with a woman allegedly conspired with her to eliminate her husband in Khammam district. He hired a contract killing gang and even paid an advance, but the murder plot fell apart due to a financial dispute. All accused were eventually caught by the police.
According to details, a man named Ramu had an extramarital relationship with a woman. The two allegedly conspired to kill her husband. Ramu struck a deal with a supari gang for ₹20 lakh to carry out the murder, with the woman also cooperating and paying ₹5 lakh as an advance.
The gang kidnapped the intended victim and took him to an undisclosed location. However, before carrying out the killing, they contacted Ramu demanding the remaining payment. When he failed to pay, the gang released the man after robbing him of his gold and cash.
The fallout between Ramu and the hired killers led to the exposure of the murder conspiracy. Acting on the victim’s complaint, police arrested five people who were part of the plot. Authorities also seized weapons, ₹90,000 in cash, and five mobile phones from the accused.
