Hyderabad: A joint enforcement team seized 2,500 kg of adulterated curd in Amberpet during a raid on an illegal storage facility.
The seizure follows recent reports of adulterated ghee in the city. Officials said operators used caustic soda to prepare the curd.
Investigators found that the operators mixed caustic soda with hot milk to convert it quickly into curd.
Health officials warned that consuming such products can cause serious health problems.
