ACB traps Yellampeta town planner for ₹3.5 lakh bribe in wall demolition case

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Chinthala Radha Krishna Reddy, Town Planning Officer of Yellampeta Municipality in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, while he was taking a bribe of ₹3.5 lakh on Saturday.

Officer took money to stop wall demolition

Reddy demanded ₹5 lakh from a complainant. In return, he promised not to demolish the compound wall and gates of the complainant’s layout. He claimed the demolition was to allow access for other landowners, misusing his authority.

Earlier, the officer had already taken ₹1.5 lakh. On Saturday, ACB officials caught him red-handed while he accepted the remaining amount.
